I love to visit the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, for me this is the most prestigious and exciting event of the horticultural calendar!  I enjoy seeing Chelsea’s show gardens of every size and style, I am always interested to discover the latest gardening products, and I really look forward to finding new favourite plants, whilst being reminded of old favourites.  I so enjoy visiting Chelsea’s Grand Pavilion, which is filled with over one hundred exhibits created by expert growers, from nurseries that seem to specialise in growing almost every kind of plant.

The Southern Section of The National Auricula and Primula Society hosted their 132nd Auricula Show on Saturday 30th April 2016 in the Main Hall of The Old Barn Hall, Great Bookham.  This is a wonderful Auricula Show to visit – all of The National Auricula and Primula Society members are very friendly and welcoming, and the exhibits are all of a very high standard and quality.

RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2015

The Great Pavilion at the Royal Horticultural Society’s Chelsea Flower Show extends to an area equal in size to three football pitches; during Chelsea week it’s filled with a glorious array of interesting, new, rare and beautiful plants and stunning floral exhibits created by top plant breeders, growers and nurseries.  Here are some of the Gold Medal winning nurseries from this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show:

W & S Lockyer – Auriculas

Bill, Joan, and Simon Lockyer are specialist growers and breeders of Florist Auriculas.

The Royal Horticultural Society’s Chelsea Flower Show is the most prestigious event of the horticultural calendar; with gardens designed by award winning garden designers and new plants, launched exclusively at the show, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show offers inspiration at every turn.

This year it was wonderful to see Dan Pearson back at Chelsea, his Laurent-Perrier Chatsworth Garden won a Gold Medal and the much coveted award of Best In Show from the Royal Horticultural Society Judges.
