If you’re looking for beautiful miniature orchids to grow in a terrarium, I hope this planting list will help you.

A long-term review of the BiOrbAir (part three)

The BiOrbAir is a specialised, automated terrarium, which was designed by Barry Reynolds.  I planted up my BiOrbAir terrarium on the 25th September 2014.  As this was the first time I had planted a BiOrbAir terrarium; I chose a variety of different plants and ferns to trial and see how they each would grow inside the controlled environment of this terrarium, with the constant conditions the BiOrbAir provides.

Growing Miniature Orchids in the BiOrbAir

A year has passed since I set up my first BiOrbAir, an automated, specialised terrarium, which was designed by Barry Reynolds.  I have loved and appreciated this special terrarium every day, and I will continue to do so.

Now, thanks to a wonderful and very generous, special gift, from my family and friends, who all enjoy seeing my first BiOrbAir terrarium, and have appreciated watching the plants inside develop and grow.

A long-term review of the BiOrbAir (part two)

The BiOrbAir is a specialised terrarium, which was designed by Barry Reynolds.  I planted up my BiOrbAir terrarium on 25th September 2014.  As this was the first time I had planted a BiOrbAir terrarium; I chose a variety of different plants and ferns to see how they would grow inside the controlled environment of this terrarium.

I love bringing nature indoors; vases of flowers, pretty stones and all manner of leaves, bark and pinecones are welcome in my house at any time of year.  I enjoy house plants, but I especially love creating bottle gardens or terrariums.  Terrariums are fun to plant up either by yourself, with a friend, or with children or a disabled or house-bound friend or relation.

Size does matter and I’ve received quite a few questions asking how big the BiOrbAir is. The answer to the question is the BiOrbAir is 56cm or 22 inches in height and 50cm or 19.5 inches diameter.  I have taken some photos to clearly show the size of the terrarium, I hope they are helpful for you.  I think the size of the BiOrbAir is just right, it’s large enough to grow a variety of plants and create a picturesque landscape within, but not too large that it looks uncomfortable.

A Long Term Review of the BiOrbAir

I am reviewing and trialling the BiOrbAir, a specialised terrarium from BiOrb.  I’ll be updating this page each month with a photograph of my BiOrbAir and an update of how the plants are growing and how well the BiOrbAir is working.

This is the first part of my long-term BiOrbAir review, it starts after planting in September 2014, and continues through until April 2015.

BiOrbAir Terrarium Features

An in-depth look at the features of the BiOrbAir, as part of my continued long-term BiOrbAir trial and review.

The BiOrbAir has lots of great features that make this terrarium easy and enjoyable to set up and fun to use.  Everything you need to set up the terrarium comes inside the box, as part of the package when you purchase your BiOrbAir.

This is the full planting list for the BiOrbAir and the traditional terrarium I planted for my feature in the January 2015 edition of Vantage Point Magazine.

This is a follow on post from an article I wrote for Vantage Point magazine on terrariums.  On the 25th September 2014, I planted both the BiOrbAir and a traditional terrarium, I hoped to inspire Vantage Point readers to plant a terrarium.  This was the start of my long-term BiOrbAir trial and review – something I am just so excited about!
