If you’re looking for ways to make a positive difference to the environment, why not build a pond?  Ponds support a vast range of wildlife, from the bottom to the top of the food chain.  Insects, invertebrates, amphibians, and birds, all need ponds.  These ecologically important habitats give us the chance to see dazzling dragonflies and get closer to nature.  Ponds grant us exciting opportunities to grow waterlilies and aquatic plants!

Award winning nurseries

Every year at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, you’ll find a wealth of plant knowledge and expertise inside the Great Pavilion, where specialist nurseries, expert growers, and plants people, come together from all over the world, to showcase some of the special plants they grow and love.

Here’s a look at some of the nurseries and exhibits that were inside The Great Pavilion, at The RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2016…….

The Southern Section of The National Auricula and Primula Society hosted their 132nd Auricula Show on Saturday 30th April 2016 in the Main Hall of The Old Barn Hall, Great Bookham.  This is a wonderful Auricula Show to visit – all of The National Auricula and Primula Society members are very friendly and welcoming, and the exhibits are all of a very high standard and quality.

Each of the Gardens at this year’s Royal Horticultural Society’s Chelsea Flower Show were so different, each having a beauty, style, inspiration and charm of their own. It’s quite incredible how all the plants and materials for the show gardens are brought into the Royal Hospital Grounds at Chelsea; the gardens are then expertly created in just a matter of weeks.
