Take the Pledge to be Peat-Free and Proud!

For decades, we’ve heard hundreds of empty promises to protect and restore our peatlands, but the sad fact is that our peatlands are still in danger and these precious areas are still being damaged today.  Humans have been relentlessly draining these rare habitats and ripping out the life and soul – the mosses, plants, life, and peat – from our peatlands for an unthinkable amount of time.

I first met garden designer Sarah Wilson when she designed a garden for the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show in 2015.  Sarah has now started a brand new Podcast called Roots and All, which is aimed at encouraging new gardeners, providing them with lots of inspiration and information.  Sarah recently interviewed me for her new venture, in the interview, Sarah asked me to provide her readers with advice and information on terrarium gardening.

The RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show is the world’s largest annual flower show, the Show covers 34 acres of ground!  The Floral Marquee at the 2015 RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, was home to over 90 nurseries and specialist growers for the duration of the flower show.  At 6,750 square meters, the Floral Marquee is large enough to house an FA football pitch!
